A CHRISTMAS CAROL - NEW FOR Oct 2010 onwards - a unique take on Dickens' favourite story by Mike Maran and Alison Stephens. This brand new fully staged and lit production will combine the brilliant and charming story-telling style of Mike Maran with a brand new score (written and arranged by Alison) played live on stage by Alison Stephens (on mandolin, mandola, guitar and penny whistle). These two consummate performers have been performing together in Captain Corelli's Mandolin for over 10 years and are also firm friends. This promises to be a magical and captivating production of an old favourite. Current bookings for 2010/11 include Colchester, Edinburgh, Cambridge and Norwich. Also now booking for Christmas season 2011/12.
CAPTAIN CORELLI'S MANDOLIN - The hugely successful stage adaptation by Mike Maran of Louis de Bernieres' enduring novel. We have performed the show nearly 600 times (often to sell-out audiences) over a 10 year period and in well over 100 different venues across the UK and Hong Kong. This fully staged and lit show features Mike as the story-teller accompanied by a compelling "live soundtrack" played on stage by Alison Stephens (mandolin, guitar, trumpet, tuba & snare drum!) and Anne Evans (piano and flute). We have our own technician for stage set-up and lighting. Although this show is designed for a theatrical venue, we have performed in village/school halls, concert halls and museums.
